WINTER 2026 Season Registration NOW OPEN!!!
Registrations for Winter season (Term 2 & 3) are now open. Please spread the word to all your friends and family who you think might be interested in playing.  New players of all ages and experience are welcome. We have one of the lowest registration fees amongst local basketball clubs.

Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association (EDJBA)

The Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association (EDJBA) is the largest junior competition in Australia, boasting over 1,500 teams & close to 12,000 players. This is Koonung Comets main competition, with over 100 teams competing in the league.

  • Under 8s to Under 21s
  • Saturday games morning or afternoon

Teams change from season to season and are selected to maximise individual participation and skill development by grouping players of similar abilities.  Play at the level that is best for you, meet some new friends, expand your social circle, enhance your wellbeing, confidence, opportunities, and overall basketball enjoyment. All players who register will be allocated to a team in their respective age groups.

U11 – 2015 – 2016
U13 – 2013 – 2014
U15 – 2011 – 2012
U17 – 2009 – 2010
U19 – 2007 – 2008
U21 – 2005 – 2006

Camberwell Community Basketball League (CBL)

  • Under 7/8s – Friday afternoon
  • Under 9s to Under 18s – Saturday
  • Under 22s – Sunday afternoon/evening

CBL Under 7/8s Friday Afternoon Competition

  • Friday afternoons – game times: 4:15pm, 5:00pm, 5:45pm
  • lowered rings.
  • Players born 2019, 2020 or 2021
  • Venues: Kew High, Boroondara Sports Complex, Camberwell High, Greythorn Primary

CBL Saturday or Sunday Afternoon Competition
For the Saturday and Sunday competitions we enter friendship teams.

If you would like to register as a friendship team you will need a minimum of 7 friends, supply your own coach and team manager.  The organiser of the team must send to the Club – the names of the players in the friendship team, the name and contact details (email and phone number) of the coach and the team manager.

CLUB REGISTRATION FEES
Early Bird registration $315 (SAVE $50 offer ends 1st March). Standard registration of $365 applies from 1st March:

  • 2nd and subsequent children – additional 5% discount
  • Additional Basketball Victoria and Basketball Australia annual participant fees will also be applied if not already paid with another team. There is also a PlayHQ transaction fee.
  • Non-training friendship team option available (early bird cost $235)
