Koonung Secondary College:  Elgar Rd, Mont Albert North (enter off Cairo Road) map

Training Roster

The training roster is based around the availability of the coaches and those coaches with multiple teams.  It is not possible to accommodate all the player requests.  Where a player is unavailable to train when their team is rostered, we will organise for them to train with another suitable team at a more convenient time.

Expectations regarding Training

Attendance at training is fundamental to your success and the success of your team.  If you are unable to attend please notify your coach beforehand.

Players should wear appropriate footwear and sports clothing, bring a basketball and full water bottle to training.

When dropping off players at training, parents must ensure that an adult coach or a supervising adult is at the venue.  Occasionally training needs to be cancelled unexpectedly and if we have been unable to notify you, your child could be left stranded without supervision.

Adult supervision at training, is required for all teams with junior coaches (under 18 years of age).  If there is uncertainty as to whether there will be a supervising adult present, then a roster should be created, for all parents to take turns.  Please ensure that if you are rostered on for supervision that you are there (or you have arranged for a replacement), otherwise training cannot take place.

Players should not take to the court until the previous group have completed their training session.  Similarly, please be considerate to the next team that is due for a training session and make sure that training finishes on time.

Siblings and other young spectators must be carefully supervised by adults and kept off the training area.

Parents, please ensure that you are punctual when collecting players.  Coaches are volunteers and it is unfair on them to have to wait with your child repeatedly.

An adult coach, or supervising adult, should stay until all players have been collected from training before leaving the venue.

We are covered by public liability within the hours for any training that takes place in our venues.
